Hoping to not get caught with my pants down – updated… AGAIN

    January 5, 2012

If you are visiting Resistance is Fruitful on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day, you may notice some hiccups with the blog, as I am rolling out a new theme. I’ve got a plan of action… but we all know what that means.

Although I’ve grown very fond of the features and the “look” I got with Suffusion,

  • Who needs t-cells, anyway?

    Who needs t-cells, anyway?

    December 30, 2011

There seems to be a natural tendency among some skeptics and questioners that when part of a theory or concept is proven to be flawed, any and all other aspects about it should be dismissed as well.

This certainly seems to be the case for some AIDS dissidents when it comes to discussions about the significance of certain laboratory markers, in particularly certain immune cells involved in fighting infections, called CD4 t-cells. CD4 counts are, arguably, considered by mainstream AIDS experts as the single most important measure of disease progression and risk for patients acquiring opportunistic infections.

Talking to my (inner) self – Part 2

    December 23, 2011

I briefly mentioned in my intro that I’ve at least dabbled with self-hypnosis, meditation, neuro-feedback and other modalities of healing involving the subconscious mind. I say dabble, because I don’t feel like I’ve devoted enough time and effort to any of these things to consider myself very experienced. My conscious mind is usually so…

Talking to my inner self – Part 1

    December 16, 2011

As I have reported previously, high dose intravenous vitamin C seems to improve my energy, my mood and my sense of well-being, if not the laboratory markers often associated with HIV and AIDS. Because the infusions are so expensive, I was intrigued by the possibility of preparing my own IV sodium ascorbate ala Dr….

Morphing’s just another word for accelerated aging

    November 23, 2011

I downloaded this morphing software to present “before” and “after” pix of the Highland House, but I couldn’t resist having a bit of personal fun with it first. – – – – – [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mjrbA3wQmU]

    The Highland House

    November 21, 2011April 1, 2025

In between blood clots and other speed bumps, I have spent much of my summer overseeing  the renovation of an investment property in our neighborhood that we call the Highland House. The project is an attempt to grow Michael’s retirement fund and improve our neighborhood at the same time.  The purchase and improvements are…

Townsend Letter publishes “Deja vu at the FDA”

    November 20, 2011

I was just recently informed that the December 2011 issue of Townsend Letter – The Examiner of Alternative Medicine, which is just now arriving in the mailboxes of subscribers, published an article I wrote and published here at resistance is fruitful earlier this year. The article, entitled  “Deja vu at the FDA”, is not…

Getting a leg up this morning

    July 29, 2011

Maybe it’s the IV vitamin C, the low dose naltrexone, or something else, but I’ve had better energy and mood all summer. My biggest complaints lately are mostly due to the DVT blood clots that developed sometime last month. Since this is the third time I’ve developed clots in my left leg, I know…

Insults and threats from sockpuppets… oh my!

    June 15, 2011

I have been enjoying a break from blogging and Internet obsession for a few weeks, tending to a garden and some home improvement projects instead.  My energy and mood have been better than they have been for years, and I’ve even got a couple of new DVT blood clots in my left leg as…

    IVC experiment results inconclusive

    April 26, 2011

Thanks to those of you who have been prodding me for an update on my experiment. A severe case of Spring Fever, along with a touch of procrastination has helped keep me from posting sooner. Now that the rain is keeping me inside, I’ll try to catch up. When I first started this blog,…
